Druhk the orc woke up from his sleep to find the place strangely deserted. What was going on? He remembered delivering a cartload of orc melons into this city the evening before; after passing the customs, he decided to take a night's rest in the nearest inn before delivering the melons to Ryu's Restaurant the next day.
He walked out of the inn and was shocked to find several demons attacking the townspeople in the distance, near the town gates. Yet he could also make out a few people who seemed endowed with exceptional abilities, defending the civilians and engaged in battle with the monsters. There was this dwarf in particular who was apparently casting healing magic on the injured... And Druhk noticed with alarm that a demon was advancing on the dwarf from behind, and everyone else seemed not to notice...
Quickly Druhk grabbed a large rock nearby and hurled it at the demon with all his might -- and it struck the demon in the head, causing him to yell loudly with pain. And the dwarf took notice and turned around...
