Bazguul'tek
With the power of the amulet he wore, Bazguul and his dozen elite guards had opened a gate that allowed them to enter, do a short interplanear walk, and reappear in another location of the city. They were not seen leaving the area when they did so, because the amulet Bazguul wore created a group of holograms of the demon's bunch, and animated them into retreating back into the tunnels. bazguul's hope was that some of the more heroic-type adventurers would run down the hole to chase them when they saw that.
With some of the attacking force out of the way in the tunnels, Bazguul now concentrated on finding more people to eliminate from his city. A small troop of exploring soldiers had separaed themselves from the main mass, and had nearly bumped into Bazguul's men when they stepped out of the interplanear warp. Too frightened to move, they soon were shot full of arrows and then Bazguul disposed of their bodies by burning them to ash.
