The secret army that Bazguul had sneaking out of the labrynths followed their trail to the outskirts of the city, then they found themselves behind the troops of do-gooders that were attacking. They began to silently encircle the outer perimeter, as Bazguul had directed. Elsewhere, in the underground world that Bazguul had created, the preparations were complete. He was content if the paladins wanted to destroy the upper city, but if they found the entrance to his nest, and tried to come down...they would only regret it.
