Murdock
Speaking to the horse, he said..."Do you really wish to come along? It'll be dangerous, hot and I am not good company!"
The horse merely stared at him. Shrugging his shoulders, he said, "Oh well...if you are as stupid as I am for even attempting this journey...then I suppose we belong together.
Murdock mounted the steed and looked at the map. It was pbvious which way the desert lay, so he placed the map in his cloak, grabbed the reign of his borrowed horse, and left the city gates behind. makig good time, Murdock reached the edge of the desert just before sundown. He dismounted and set up camp. His adventure was about to begin. He suspected that the entire journey would be watched by unfriendly eyes, but as long as they kept distance, he would be fine. Feeling around in his back-pack, he made sure that he had packed his short-bow.
