(To uss: All I ask is that you don't make your character so powerful and unwieldy
in future that no one would know how to deal with him.
BTW, you don't mind if at some time in the future I make Jonathan create a house of sweets and chocolates with his magic to lure Hansel and Gretel into his trap?

Marduk and the boat were now approaching the giant portal of the magnificent city in the sky when a strange entity approached from behind. "Uncle Mar-dook, what's that?" asked Gretel, pointing at the approaching entity.
Marduk turned to look. It was a fallen deva! Some hostile source must have summoned this creature and directed it against them!
What was he to do? He could not let the boat go and fight the vile creature -- the boat would instantly fall. He decided he would push himself and the boat as quickly towards the city as his wings and his strength would permit; once they entered the portal, they would be perfectly safe.
The fallen deva gave pursuit, spitting balls of flame at Marduk and the boat. The archangel flew as fast as he could, trying to ignore the lethal missiles whizzing past. Oh, how far away the portal seemed at this critical moment, so near yet so far...
A fireball struck the archangel in the back! The boat rocked dangerously, the children screaming. Gritting his teeth, Marduk fought against the agonising pain and flew on. Yet presently his wings caught still another fireball. He nearly let go of the boat, which nearly toppled. Blood pouring from his mouth by virtue of his injuries, staining his chin and lower lips a bright incarnadine, he felt that death was close and decided to use the last remaining surge of strength he could summon to
throw the boat through the portal so that the children would not die with him.
"Uncle Mar-dook!" cried the children with alarm upon seeing the predicament of the archangel.
"L-Listen, children..." gasped Marduk, "once you... enter the city... find Father... En-Enlil..."
Then Marduk pushed with all the might he could muster and the boat shot towards the city's portal, while he plunged, down, down...
"
Uncle Mar-dook!!" screamed the children in tears...
Is this the end of Marduk?

Masjid Ravi was not pleased when he heard that his subordinate Illithid officers had failed to secure the tract of land controlled by the Calamari faction. As he was pondering on his next move, there was a brief buzzing sound and the face of an Illithid orderly came into view on the hemispherical viewing screen.
"Lord Masjid," stuttered the orderly, "a theft has been reported at the archives."
Masjid Ravi raised his eyebrows. "
What?" he exclaimed. "Which section?"
"It's Section 5, Lord Masjid."
A sudden feeling of apprehension came to Masjid Ravi. "What was the item stolen?"
"It was one of the
urns, Lord Masjid. The urn bearing the words
Jon-a-tan."
Masjid Ravi's face turned pale. "
This is no small matter!" he remarked. "Make haste. Activate all Level Aleph security systems and place all guards on top alert -- enemies with extreme offensive capability are anticipated!"
"Orders acknowledged!" replied the orderly.
