The spiders get stronger and stronger as you level up.
Sword Spiders when your mage hits level 12.
Oh , Summon Undead (5th level) the one that raises skeletons for yo ? Those skeletons turn into skeletal warriors at level 15, very powerful. Forgot the name of the spell but clerics have it as a level 3 and wizards as a level 5 spell.
