The fireshield scorches the panther as it leaps onto her (OOC: The battle has not taken the full duration of the spell) . Choking, she closes her eyes and summons her last ounces of energy and strength, swinging her left arm forcefully in a wide arc and plunging the dagger into the panther's neck.
Gasping, feeling the blood drain from her own face, she nevertheless continues shoving the dagger in as deeply as she can, driving it into the windpipe of the fiendish beast.
The last words on her mind...
So this is my fate, for breaking my vow...
