~She watches silently as the two stared eachother down. A frightened shiver ran down her spine. She'd never seen either of them so furious. Why does Li want Locke to stay away from me? Of all people why Locke?! She watched both of them, not daring to say a word. Li's pale skin held a silver glow underneath the influence of the dark clouds. His neatly combed silver hair blew on soft cool breezes. His green eyes were seething apparent hatred. Hatred! Arrakis and Locke were always Li's favorites! What the hell could have changed between then and now? Li's tall frame seemed mountanous and casted a great long shadow over the ground. A most forboding sight was he. Locke was none the less. Locke was even taller than Li, and due to the old age of his mentor, nearly twice as fit. Locke's abyssal dark eyes locked with Li's. I'm waiting for an explosion between those eyes! Finally she could take it no more, and stepped between the two, raising a palm to each.~ "Stop it!"

~He looked at Chani momentarily and his gaze softened. He nodded his head with a grunt and stepped back. He looked at Li under his friend's restraint.~ "You can't just hide her away and hope nothing happens! She's not a child anymore! She has a life and we have no right to interfere!"
