(ooc: OK... Just post yourself at the bottom of the lake, like we planned. Flipping internet.)

Chani Ravenwood
~Her silent gaze traced every face. Every face returned the sad stare. Every pair of eyes was sincere. Green, blue, brown, violet, hazel... Black? Only one person in Ravenwood had black eyes. She felt her soft confused features turn cold in rage. Maverick, he did this. He did this to me! A look of surprise fell upon the face of Shadowfall, and many turned to see whom deserved a glare. She felt a hand on her shoulder, a restraining hand, Arrakis' hand. With a growl she batted it away and began to run. The crowd formed an instant path for her.~

Maverick Shadowfall
~He felt many curious eyes fall upon him. He winced helplessly. He shook his head. The stress had taken a toll on him, and he looked somewhat aged. His black eyes searched in vain for reassurance. Exasperated, he turned and walked in shadows from the gathering.~

Locke Foresthide
~He stepped aside Arrakis, a hopeless look on both his and his friend's face. He spoke softly, daring not to meet Ravenwood's eyes.~ "Somebody should talk to her. I'd thrash too if I were in her position, she's confused no doubt." ~He shrugged his shoulders.~ "I'll be at the Fox's Den if you need me." ~Locke turning away only aided the quickly thinning crowd.~

Arrakis Ravenwood
~He looked at the dusty ground, at his boots, and pondered the intricate and distracting patterns he could create if he'd only combine the two. Nobody was left at that fateful spot, not even Li. He sighed, looking up at canopy.~ "What am I supposed to do?" ~His teeth clenched.~ "Mielikki have my plea." ~He headed off in the direction of the shrine.~

Chani Ravenwood
~Frustrated tears threatened to erupt. She blinked them back with ferocity. You're strong Chani, you can take it, you've handled it before, just run, don't think, just run. You are not Chani, not the child of the night, not sister to Arrakis or daughter of Ravenwood. You are Killing Spree, faceless, invisible! She ran until her legs refused to carry her. She was in the graveyard. The crypts of Ravenwood held a misty din about them. She sunk to her knees, held her head in her hands and wept. She didn't notice, but she had stationed herself at the foot of Illuna's tomb. She cried until there were no more tears for her situation. She thought optimistically for a moment. They... They all care about me... But then she could only think of others that cared about her. More tears hit the ground. Larry and Mistral and Sephi and Deiter... Oh Deiter! Why the hell am I here?! Why don't I just run back? Her head snapped upward, a cool breeze rustled her hair and soft noises filled her ears. She swallowed, dark clouds always lay over the graveyard, but now they seemed fit to burst. She heard a noise from behind. Footsteps. She turned around to see nothing. Her voice was loud but shaky.~ "Who's there? Show yourself!" ~A voice whispered on the wind. A terribly sad moaning voice, a quiet voice, a ghostly voice!~ "Aaas you wisshh." ~In fear she instinctively grabbed her hilt, her clammy hands grasped the cold steel scimitar. The voice sounded again.~ "Dooo nott feeaar?" ~She released her hand from the blade reluctantly and looked around, a nervous cold sweat forming on her brow. A flash of silvery white light from the side made her gasp. The illumination was from Illuna's tombstone. She looked on in horror, she wanted to run, but her limbs wouldn't budge. A ghostly figure appeared in the light's place. She wanted to cry in horror, but her gaze was soon of painful awe.~ "M... Mother?"

The Ghost (Of Illuna Ravenwood)
~She nodded her head.~ "Hello my little one... I was not expecting you." ~Her kind face smiled. Her appearance was of cold moonlit gray, her aura of warmth.~ "Would you like to meet your sister?" ~Chani looked confused at her.~ "My sister?" ~She smiled and nodded her head.~ "Oh yes, she's a lovely child I assure you." ~She called out in her soft ghostly voice.~ "Iris! Come to me a moment!" ~A younger, yet none-the-less undead voice greeted acknowledgement. She turned her gaze back to Chani.~ "Careful she might sneak up on you." ~She smiled.~ "Her father's rather fond of her as well. Third time's a charm, right?"

The Ghost (Of Iris Nightblade)
~She jumped from the brush aside the graveyard. She had the same ghostly gray complection as her mother, but she was youthful and radiating energy. She didn't seem to care that she was... Dead... She probably didn't know what it meant. A faint scythe lay on her bare ankle. She looked to her mother.~ "What is it mummy?" ~She followed her mother's gaze.~"That's your sister Iris. I was telling you about her before." ~She looked over in awe. A wide smile crossed the young face.~ "Hello Chani!" ~She turned around and yelled out.~ "Daddy daddy! Come quick! You've got to see what mummy found!"

Chani Ravenwood
~She found herself short of breath. Everything was so fast. So awkward. She looked to the brush where a dark ghostly shape was forming. Nightblade. Let the games begin.~

The Ghost (Of Cyrus Nightblade)
~He stepped through the thorny hedge that surrounded the graveyard. Literally. The tall lean assasin, immortalized in a black mist. A faint brown glow from his cheek. The color of dried blood, a scythe. A smirk crossed his face. His voice sounded just as it had in life. Hear that voice without the face and you'd think that hell was coming to take you.~ "Good to see you Chani." ~He looked to his wife and child.~ "If you please, I'd like to spend a moment with my living daughter." ~Iris scowled at him much to Illuna's amusement, she ruffled her youngest daughter's hair. He motioned a hand to Chani.~ "I think this will interest you regardless."

Chani Ravenwood
~She bit her lip, looking to her mother. A reassuring nod. She turned to her father and forced a thin teary smile.~ "All right." ~She followed him to a deep glade, and stooped beside him when they reached a murky pool. Everything is so gray...~

The Ghost (Of Cyrus Nightblade)
~He gave a content immortal smile and waved his hand over the pool. The muddy water gave way to a crystal liquid fit for kings to drink of. He looked to his daughter of the living plane.~ "I've been watching you... You remember the dream?" ~His eerie smile broadened.~ "Of course you do, it led to a heart-felt confession." ~He concentrated on the pool for a moment and a clear image formed. A flashback. Chani in bed, disoriented, a form hunched over her.~

"I love you too Chani."

~He noted with satisfaction as his daughter cherished the visible memory. She is very lost, and I shall guide her with some reassurance. What I could not understand in life I can offer most readily now.~ "And rest assured that confession was honest. He..." ~He paused.~ "Is a good man at heart, and that righteous organ is overall devoted to you." ~His eyes narrowed.~ "It seems at times though that your past scars your charisma." ~He waved his hand again.~

"Leafblade! You could have been killed!"

~He noticed her good-natured wince. He openly laughed.~ "But at other times you can be very... Blunt." ~He changed the vision with a snap of fingers.~

"And the winner... Gets a kiss."

"I still think you lost that fight on purpose." ~Chani's face turned slightly red in embarassment.~ "But don't feel embarassed, he can be rather full of himself as well."

~Chani stood with her back to a ladder leaning on the side of her tavern. Deiter's arms on either side of the ladder forbade her from moving.~ "What do you think you should do?"

"You were most dissapointed when that was cut short, now weren't you?" ~His voice was calm and almost droning.~ "But what was the cause? Certainly any man in his right mind wouldn't leave that posiotion on whim. No. Your friends were the cause, they're a high-maitenence bunch now aren't they?"

~She flapped open the cloak to reveal multiple identical daggers.~ "If I held it in ANY value, do you really think I'd leave it in YOUR possesion?!"

~Chani shook her head, a soft grin on her face. The tear streaks were fading. He continued.~ "It seems that fate brought you all together."

"My goddess tells me you hold the answers."

~His face turned somewhat solemn.~ "But it seems that fate tears you apart as well."

"I hope they know they'll be sorely missed."

~Chani's face turned troubled and he felt the need to reassure her again, even if it took a millenium to get his point across.~ "But don't worry my child, fate seems to pull you back to one another as well."

~A vision of forest, Deiter's dead brother across from them. Deiter battered with an emotional Chani in his arms.~

  • Mistral's next vision will be of Iris, and her meeting with Chani.
  • Larry's next vision will be of Cyrus, his features, not what he is doing.
  • After these visions Chaos will be nervous. When this catches both of their attention they will receive a mutual vision: Illuna and Cyrus meeting a grandchild. In the vision they are living. Iris will be a young woman. Arrakis will be present as well, smiling at his nephew. Chani and Deiter will stand proud and laughing. Then the peace will be shattered. All will be slaughtered by an unknown figure, the vision stops when the shadowed person nears Chani and Deiter's son.

(ooc: By the way, would anybody be interested in one of my latest outside works? I'm thinking of sending it into Elfwood... Person who rides my bus, I'll let you read it at school, I'm sure Midget and Green Giant will want to read it regardless, so it'll be there.)
