by the way, you can self polymorph into any creatures you want. (in a reasonable range, say a dragon is not appropriate, and you cannot change into construct, eg, golems. this spell is restricted to mainly creatures under 7 hit dice)
the short dwarf is quickly overwhelmed by the fast growing webs beneath his stocky legs. Layers upon layers of oily spider strings formed around the charging dwarf, and literally tied him up where he stood. The more he struggled against it, the more he seemed to attract the energy waves.
The remaining alive attacker, blinded, and rammed to the floor, tried to stand up, but found himself deep in spider webs as well. The webs on the chairs, overhanging Chandeliers and tables gradually vanished as more and more webs tangled around the dwarf and the attacker.
The enemy mage laughed at the attempted pitiful assault. Then began a second round of spell casting. Intense burst of energy exploded around his hand, and formed numerous flaming arrows which shot towards the dwarf. The stinging fire burnt his beard and chest, hot smoke teary his eyes, but at the same time, some of the webs caught on fire and dissolved into grey mist. His weapon wielding hand is free for the moment.
Odin stood there, mind racing for a counter plan. The webs around him seemed to loosen their holds gradually.
