Also for some mages who like to throw up a contingency, watch to see if protection from magic weapons come up. Weapons with added elemental dmg should still pierce thru. IF you have a wand of monster summoning, use it. Normally these critters don't have magical attacks. There's been quite a few times I wait and then cast a few ogres to bash the magical-defensive mage to pulp. Those monster summonings come in handy when you least expect em to. I don't suggest using the wands of monster summoning against big time npcs who have an innate resistance to non magical weapons. Plain mages aren't the case and the critters eat up the mage's death spells. I didn't use spells for Tolgerias. Having the staff of magi, I whacked em silly to watch em conteingency and then send in the pets. I also made him waste his true sights early and threw one up on my own. Pets did the beat down and took the death hits. Proceed to melee em and there shouldn't be a problem if you had fodder.
For the Demon, my traps didn't work when I lured him to them using my bounty hunter. I had to have Minsc use the flail of ages on him after Aerie maintained enough aggro ( EQ talk)...finally cleared out the whole area to have extra hearts left over as souveniers. I had the boots of speed at this time. Got Aerie to pull the demon from the top left-side. She kept the thing on her while she used the ring of Gaxx. I pulled to the entrance way to the sphere and there fought em with Minsc primarily. During the fight, I switched the ring to have Minsc use it. Also haste is rather important too.
The demon DOES see thru invis AND casts enough dmg to hurt, really hurt. My bounty hunter couldn't solo em for sure at lvl 16.
