I'm going through Spellhold for the first time. I've talked to Waven and gotten the first memo regarding the Pantaloons Quest, but 75 more tries did NOT grant me the second - "rare" - memo that explains about the Pantaloons.
I have two questions:
1) Do I need these memos to complete the Quest, or are they just window dressing?
2) Is there some way to "decipher' the code of the memo's in the game?
