Thanks for the help - I have dived straight in to talking to them at the tavern after I have killed the beholder without waiting for the limit but Phaere says she only wants to talk to Solaufein and he says he has had "words" with her and doesn't want to talk to you. However there was some dialogue in the SE region immediately after the killing and before they zapped back to the tavern but no opportunity for me to converse with them.

I have tried previous saves so now it's time for Shadowkeeper!
