Hmmmm... you can fight the Dragons in melee.
I mean hey, I bi**hstabbed the Shadow Dragon and Firkragg with my solo Cavalier, and you have the advantage of high-level Priest spells.

Righteous Magic,
Regeneration,
Blade Barrier,
etc... ...
