Are you tired with it, want to give it to your girl?
Put Familiar into your backpack, fill it with other items (magical the best) and talk to somebody who gives you something. If Familiar is in good starting position he will be dropped to the floor! (if you ever noticed usually normal weapons, arrows are dropped first, so you have to have some containers and magical items)
Other events: I was also trying to kill Cpt. Cernick in d'Arnise hold. He resisted Desintegrate (after a few lowering of resistance), he survived cleric 7th level: Death (no save), I have seen animation of ghost waving in the wind but he survived.
Funny event: I just lost 2 rep. point and Nalia says: I love to be in your party, making good deeds and help poor people.
