Well, for a tipical fighter the very best weapon is Twinkle I think... but if you are one of these Drizzt-fanatics that never kill him, Varscona is good too. Flametongue looks nice, but I think it isnīt good enough. Xanīs Moonblade looks fine too but it can be used only by Xan
For mages I always use Staff+3 and Sling +3 with the archimage robe. And the best wand in my opinion is the wand of frost, which really strikes and itīs funny to see the people frozen.
And Azreall, I think the 'combo' with full plate mail plus ring +2 is better than the plate+3. And yes, the helm of balduran Sucks, unless you are wearing The Claw of Kazgaroth or The Cloak of Displacement, cause with these items you canīt see the helm
