i dont know how any of you can look past the power of grease!!! i use that spell in the inn at waukeens prominade, combined with the wand of cloudkill in the dungeon, a web, and fireball or two. the group in the inn will usually die before you get seriously injured. the mage, familiar, and berserker usually die first, while the thief runs away, but a carefully timed magic missle SHOULD kill him off. then mencar pebblecrusher is your only real worry, but with stoneskin, and a few other spells, plus luring him into the room with the cloudkill and grease/web combo, he is as good as dead. sell off everything, finish the tent, and when its all said and done, with help from the ring of human influence, you can walk into chapter two with the bracers of defense AC3!!!! i ALWAYS get grease, i think it is a great spell.
