Kensai is a tough one, I know ive done it but really its use of the appropriate items at the right time. Example, someone fires arrows, you go to the inventory put on the girdle of piercing, cloak of displacement and boots of avoidance. Problem solved, enemy decapitated. A mage? you summon Kithix the spider or some other statue thing and use some ring or other to turn invisable and equip the cloak of nondetection. A lot of the game is one of stealth, like a thief but with better thaco.

Soloing is probably easier with a barbarian because they cant be backstabbed but a kensai, well that requires lots and lots a thinking and skill.

Sorcerer is the easiest and my favorite, make damn sure you know the magic system though.
