Solaufein and Viconia would make a good pair, like Jaheira and her husband in BG1. Hendak would be good also. Perhaps one of the magelings from the sphere? Perhaps the leader of the reformed "Cult of the Unseeing Eye" followers as a devout cleric with his sight returned by the gods. Plenty of threads to pull people out of. Minsc is always good, if a bit redundant. Hamsters only live for a couple of years you know. Maybe he could have one of his offspring. You know, call him "Bootwo".
