You're safest when you have a cleric who can cast False Dawn, and a good melee type doesn't worry much about the effects of fire.

I also have to agree. I did it around lvl 11-12. I do have to tell ya that from certain fights/battles in the game, I've come to base difficulty around the level of my casters. Without them, forget it if you are low level. ( take into note that I'm always approaching the tough fights from a non-cheesy prespective. Anything that makes it TOO easy and seems to be exploitive, I ain't condoning.)

The dungeon itself provides for some nice loot and can be tough if you don't have a good plan( good enough loot to make me hit the shops to sell and return for more). Sometimes you will get crap trash npcs attacking you. Certain AOE spells just scream out to be used here. Other times, you can't used stuff like cloudkill wands/spells or fireball. It calls for a different approach. If you have fought enough to have a few different tactics in your prior battles, then you will do fine here - not saying you can kill the dragon easy without cheesing- again, dragons fall easy to anything like traps or mass cloudkills and makes it doable at any level but not recommended.

I had Minsc, Jaheira, Anomen, Aerie, Korgan, and me...and at lvl 11 it proved to be a decent enough fight. Again with those npcs, I was allowed to use different tactics within the dungeon. The dragon took me a few reloads and a bit of luck. I still go back and fight him from my saved games there and still get whipped every now and then. If you have read anything about cheesing him, it's your call if you want to follow with it. Without two methods, it's very tough but doable- well 3 methods now that I'm thinking of it.

I'm looking at your party makeup and it should be okay for you to go at level 10-11. You have the decent melee guys as well as offensive casting to do it. Plus I'm sure your cleric has a good enough wisdom to see some nice spells. They rock in ALL situations. With certain protections and a good plan, it should prove a fun and challenging but not unbeatable battle.

LOL, drats you have Keldorn...I still haven't found that bugger yet.

Hope to hear your story when you defeat em. I posted mine a few days ago

G'luck.
