Um, Protection from evil - not a great spell but okay... All it does is give a slight penalty. It's not immunity.

I wouldn't even know where you are since I'm new to the game but I do know that protection from evil only used by one character isn't a get out of jail free card.

Now if you had two different characters with overlapping proterction fields, it may be different. Not sure here... but one spell just gives a -2 to hit for the enemies and gives you a +2 on your saving throws.

I like the saving throws part, BUT I don't like the small penalty for the melee side. Too small if ya ask me. If you have a tough npc on your butt already hitting for 20's and above, you bet it won't suffer too much from a -2 on his to hit roll. ( I'm just now noticing your party make-up and cast and recast those stone skins, it's vital in your situation plus protection from energy and magical weapons.)

Ask around since there are tricks to getting more pets -undead ones- I don't know of it but just heard. If you made a legionne of these and envelopped everyone under this protection spell...it may buy you more time.

I would doom and disintegrate anything I could that isn't gonna give loot in conjunction with the protection from evil spell.

Cast pets, buff them- protection from evil radius 10, defensive harmony, bless, haste. This now gives you more attack bonuses and gives the enemies more of a penalty. If ya can, read over the rules/descriptions on how some of those spells work. I also like to throw in Glitterdust - but that's normally because I open with dooms.

And ... You may be mislead. May be confusing protection from undead with protection from evil. I also can't help ya here since I haven't used that scroll yet nor do I know your area. I've heard it works well when facing lichs and that sort. Maybe this is what you need to try out.

I basically have 3 guys doom the same thing as an opener. Lower resist, early insect plague to get hits in, then breach(dun even have pierce magic yet heh), then send in the chromatic orbs. The orbs deal dmg regardless of saves. ((( this is when I'm up against one tough mofo however)))) summoned stuff is just there to buy more time for my melee to try and dmg whatever is there.

I also use spells that deal at least half dmg when the save is made. Then you have the spells that dish out dmg according to plane. Daystar's ability to insta-kill is nice to have.

I also notice you don't have a priest... Bolts of glory are good to use. Anomen in my party is beginning to use those more and more. No saves is needed to me made, it dishes out whatever dmg against one target ---for demons it's 10d6. I'm also going to play with using FireStorm when Minsc uses the red dragon armor. Again, no saves for that spell. 2d8 +1/level of caster = fun when I get Minsc with his 115 pro fire getting the enemies around him.

If you gave a bit more info on the situation, I'd be willing to give pointers( probably ways to work an area instead of the -two win- spoiler). There are gonna be tons of ways you can deal with something and it's gonna take one person who has done it the easy way to lead you in the right path. You have damned near enough mages by the way

Don't give up and G'luck.
