I disagree, dual-wielding rocks!
But the ideal thing is to have "a dual-wielding master" and "a two-handed weapon fighter" so you can both use 2 handed and 1 handed weapon in game.
Dual wielding gives you extra attack(s)
What's the difference between a 2-handed sword +5 and dual wielding longsword +5 and +5.
Our Fighter is GM in all and STR bonus is +5
2-Handed Fighter
Damage 1d10 +5+5
To Hit +5
Dual-wielding Fighter
Damage 1d8+5+5 (Longsword)
Damage 1d10+5+5 (Katana)
To hit: +5 each (not +10)
*AND EXTRA ATTACKS!!!
Well the difference is 11-20 damage AND 22-38 damage
No difference between TO HIT
AND Dual wielding fighter has Extra AttackS!
