I found it when i killed a guy who was working for Bodhi in the 5 Flagons Inn in the bridge District(i am in Chapter 3 right now). I looted him and found the sword. Do you usually find them in later chapters, or am i special?
Well, I found it a few hours after I was into chapter two.
Thing has been collecting dust for ages now. And no, I'm not special either. Did I keep it, yup. Does it play any role in my battling evil hordes of monsters? Nope. I'd rather use Lilacor for that if I were to go back to using a two hander.
And some of your questions aren't bad but most of them can be answered by yourself with using common sense. If I gave my opinion here stating something that you didn't agree with, it would only lead to more questioning, I'm sure.
Most of the players here know their stuff when it deals with the facts, it's your call however how you bring the questions to the table and what you want to gain from them...merely opinions it seems.
My hunch is that the designers/ art team has done a great job with the stock of equipment available. They won't have time to make every different thing look different. Why not ask about the commoners and peasants then? Some of them look the same. Why not ask about some of the wildlife animals...some attack and some don't.
Also, the mechanics are questionable but it seems to follow D&D 2nd edition rules. I too had a question concerning cloudkill right when I came into the forum. I have my own opinion as some stated differently. I dropped it since playing the game to have fun is what it's mostly about. Trying to dissect the game and having others join you is futile, a waste of time for you and for others.
My opinion tho but this is what you wanted right?
Have fun.
