Summon a Fire Elemental, if you can...
What level is your Jaheira? If she can summon Fire Elementals, kiss your Halflings problems goodbye. This is because Fire Elementals require a +2 or better weapon to injure, so the thing is immuned to the Halfling weaponary, and will only suffer damage from spells.
