I've got some information that may help. I have seen similar game loading times on a Duron 850, but noticeably faster times with my Athlon 1200, meaning the game loads in about 20-30 seconds, tops. But that IS a little more processing power than an 850 or 900 MHz processor, which is what loads the game into memory. Also, the distance between the 2 computers is a slight factor, as the server must send all the game info into the other computer, and has to wait for the other computer to receive it. Since the other computer is only a Celeron, and only running at 500 Mhz, it could be the bottleneck. So I've tested my computer (Athlon 1200) at a further distance from my friend's computer (5 minute drive) and it loaded faster than when I had a multiplayer session running off of the Duron 850 in the next room (at my friend's house again). Therefore, most likely the bottleneck is going to be your processing speed in regards to loading the multiplayer game.
