Ahem. Sorry about that.

As Im getting tired of mentioning, Microsoft is making Windows far to user friendly. In this instance, windows hides file extensions it has an association for, on the (un)reasonable assumption that the user can get them by their icons.

What you need to do is to go into the view menu and tell it never to hide the file extensions. While your in there I would also make it show "hidden" fiels as well, since these can cause massive problems in some instances. What will happen then is that all files will have a 3 letter extension, which tells you explicitly what type it is. And after that you should have no problem in finding Baldur.ini in your baldurs gate 2 main directory, and be able to activate the cheat code.
