OOC: I was afraid of this.

Sorry I've been gone for so long - had to get the computer fixed, and when it was the forums had gone down. The quest seems to have gone a bit awry.
The initial aim was to rebless the sword Tancred carries. It lost its' powers when the Netherese tinkered with it, destroying the blessing and releasing Karnas. As it was initially blessed by Helm when Tancred's ancestor Truori slew a Dragon single-handed, Tancred reckoned he could get it blessed again by doing the same thing. Without the blessing, it cannot hold Karnas' spirit. Unfortunately, as Tancred had no part in the slaing of the dragon, the quest is a complete failure in his eyes. No-one's fault except my own, I guess, and I'm gonna have to write my way out of it now. Bear with me.

IC: Shouldered aside in the initial rush as the entire party charged at the dragon, Tancred regained consciousness shortly after Tunjuk's death, aghast at what he saw. The party had killed Tunjuk, and a glance at his side confimed Tancred's fear; his family's sword remained defiantly unmagical.

The Cavalier sits down on a rock, shock begining to kick in. His hopes, his plan - hadn't worked. The rest of the party crowd around him, cheering and backslapping, handing him the Dragon's heart. Tancred stares at the bloody thing, wondering what to do with it.

He has journeyed back to the bar in a subdued mood, and feels very uncomfortable about the party. He doesn't drink anything, and stays away from Karnas, hoping the mage is too delerious to notice the arrival of the party. He sits down in a chair dejected, letting out a huge, world-weary sigh.
"What in Helm's name do I do now?" he wonders aloud.
