I disagree. That's basing the character around the weapon instead of basing the weapons around the character. The same goes for Crom Faeyr, it's just not needed, you get it late and imo it's pointless wasting all those good items and assigning proficiencies for a weapon that is just totally over the top and could be put to better use elsewhere earlier on. Keldorn is one total shite NPC imho with the most pathetic quest in the game. The Warblade 1D12 +4 is a pretty mean sword (although not as good as Carsomyr obviously) and doesn't require wielding by some pathetic ponce that can't even keep his missus in check.
I'd probably go for Minsc the Ranger if you feel you need a party of six. Alternatively just run with a five handed crew and your characters will receive a little more XP after each battle.
