That's just it. That's what makes multi-class characters (balanced ones) so beneficial. It's like taking two characters and putting them into one, so you can have more room for more NPC's to join your party. I didn't say Aerie was the 'best' choice, I said she was beneficial because she is the only Cleric/Mage.
