I've used it and it's great! It seems to randomly pick any spell/wand power and cast it on your target. In the past I've had it cast fireballs at enemies while my own NPC's were in melee(not good). It can be a god send or a curse so I'd only suggest using it in those "I'm going to die anyway so I may as well try it" situations.
