I found them incredibly tough to kill in my solo game. It's not easy for one person to do enough damage in one round to offset their regeneration. In addition to haste, I used draw upon holy might. Lure one out, run away, hide in shadows (then cast draw, since it's of very short duration), run back & backstab, then hack away and hope for the best
Has to be a reeeally good backstab, though, otherwise you're toast.
