Scrolls of protection can be got from most major shops/temples (adventurers mart has at least one of each) etc... Personally I only buy the protection from magic and undead scrolls and save them for the really hard fights as they are in limited supply.
As for Anomen, I also feel sorry that he is the only romance option available for female characters, I've never had him in my party for more than a couple of days as his voice got too much for me (sounds like an upper-class poof). What is your opinion on him?
