Overkill. I mean overkill. Anyway, I beat Kangaxx easely. Have your best damagers kill his first form. I killed his demi-lich form with 1 person, Aerie. If you want to know look below for it b/c it might contain a spoiler

I let her cast Spell shield : abjuration and gave her the Crom fayer. If you do not have this (spell or weapon) then it might just be that you are to early in the game. Keep doing other stuff. You can come back to the city after you have left to do some other things.
