the minotaur, the slave lord and the twisted rune and other "odd" encounters are all part of a quest that was never finished.
however, that has been fixed by getting the newest bug fix at
Kevin Dorner's site. and don't worry, if it wasn't what the game dev's intended, then Kevin wouldn't have fixed it. this bug fix is a massive undertaking and has corrected many many bugs that were left by our Game Gods due to time constraints. *smiles*
