i think you get a penalty to all your rolls while drunk but you have better morale-which your PC doesn't need-
As for an unlimited supply of ale there is a mug of DeTriannor's(sp?)Baalor's Ale in the shadow thief guildhall.
IIRC it never gets dry!Belly up comrade and let Korgan flail the bladder for a spell(I think.....)
