Ok i've posted on this site before about the same problem:

Game crashes when i cast Summon Wyvrm, NOW the game is crashing on this spell, and two other summon spells.

I did what most people suggested, delete my temp directory, uninstall, reinstall. I dont see how a simple 2d animation is crashing my game ( note: i have to reboot after ever crash, cuz I cant play ANY games after BG2 goes down)

I'm extreemly annoyed by this, and getting damn right pissed off, i'd just like to play the game how it was ment... I've installed the lasted patch (wtf are there two of em) it does not help... if i change my graphics settings around, i lose the summon crashs but instead i get a 25% chance of the game crashing while loading a new area. Can anyone help me please...
