Depends what you mean by soloplaying. If you mean using just one user created character and a party of NPC's then it's entirely possible. My party consists of my main character(a pure fighter with no kits or dual classes), Minsc, Keldorn, Anomen and Haer'Dalis. The only magic support I have is Nalia. I actually prefer this way as you have to concentrate on tactics quite a bit without relying on magical overkill.
