Yep Best way is to kill the trolls normally, use your regular fighting tactics. Once the troll is down, have one of your characters equipt a bow with a fire or acid arrow and shoot it, usually only takes one hit before it dies fully. Once in a while you might have to hit it a couple times.
So 20 arrows of acid or fire are plenty to kill off the trolls in the castle. Just use them ONLY when you knock a troll down. Of course if you have zillions of arrows, go ahead and shoot them off
