A Planetar is more powerful than an ordinary Deva (Angel).They wield vorpal swords, have several attacks per round, some insane MR, lots of spellike abilities.I think they have around 150hp.(not sure tho, I borrowed my Planescape monster compendium away)
A Solar is the most powerful servant being of the Celestials, they are actually powerful enough to become gods themselves, but choose to serve instead.From what I recall from the Planescape monster compendium, they would tear apart most dragons without breaking a sweat.
