I don't recall it asking me if I wanted to install DirectX during the installation actually... *shrugs*

Anyway, my comp was telling me that I had DirectX 5, and it is running faster now with DirectX 8... Does the sys requirements not say at least v7? Anyway, I know lowering screen res helps a lot.... but, I seriously dislike playing in 640x480
