Go to the north-west corner. There you will find some duergars, which will acept you to their encampment. Go and talk to the mayor there (forgot his name), which will tell you that he will give you a light gem if you help 'em out. Agree to help him (wont tell you what it is), do it, and you get the light gem, which will light up the entrance to Avalon.
