I just had the most annoying thing happen to me. I`m in the windspear hills

Anyways I just released that guys daughter illia or something and killed firgaag.
But as soon as I leave the dungeon, the game won`t let me save.
It says you can not save during combat, and theres no obvious way out.
Ive tried quicksave and tried resting, so could someone help me please.
I only saved before i killed the dragon so i would need to restart the whole game if nobody can help. Please take pity.
