The pod people (hehe) are of really no concern, they dont do anything except add a little to the pot of hatred for Irenicus.
You are right, the keys are for the 6 traps at the end...to use the keys there should be a statue type thingie at the left part of the trap, there should be a little activate cursor when you put your cursor over it, then just L-click and its used, and you get the wand that associates with the trap [img]smile.gif[/img]
