For the best info on the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting try hooking up with the old PnP stuff. What Originally got me into it was a little book called Pools of Radiance about 10 years ago. From there it moved on to The Crystal Shard and the Dark Elf Trilogy, The Harper's Saga, Tales of the Azure Bonds, and so on and so forth. And once my family got me the Forgotten Realms boxed set my fate was sealed. I still say its the best world out there hands down!
