Here's the party I used last time through the game:
Me - Human - Male - Kensai/Mage
Keldorn - Paladin
Korgan - Berserker
Viconia - Cleric
Valygar - Stalker
Imoen - Mage/Thief
It worked pretty well, especially with the Kensai/Mage leading the pack. These guys are very powerful when they get to the higher levels.
