Gwydion is a character in Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles... an amazing series of children's (though it's great for us too
) fantasy books.
I believe it is a name from Welsh Legend that the author borrowed.
I ended up making a swashbuckler and Raif just seemed to fit the bill...
