For example, my pic is at:

so to get it to show as a picture I type:
{IMG}http://www.gldb.com/wayno/epona2.gif{/IMG}

but using [] brackets instead of {}

That's what I mean by setting up a link.

If you've got a picture you like, try it out a few times - trial and error is the best way to get the hang of it.
