When you install ToB while in the SoA, a new area will appear on your map, called Watchers Keep. YOu can go there with once, and get all the good items in there (there are alot!).
When you now finish SoA, with killing Irenicus, you will automaticly be transported to the "real" ToB.
Besides that, the all other benefit you get, is that you can become high in levels, and learn new abilities.
