How about having a different colour for the folder icon for threads containing new messages since the user's last visit? It'll be easy to see what threads have new content, and which don't. Many other forums I visit which use the same service (UBB) have this feature.
Memnoch? Ziroc? Is it "do-able"? Pretty please??
