I was reading the earlier discussion regarding parameters and there are several parameters that are not listed in the item editor. It would be tedious, but you could load many different items and check for new parameters. I know I encountered some new parameters for colors when loading and editing the Dwarven Thrower.
I if you wanted an example of an item that loses equipping ability once a spell is cast, I would look at the staff of the magi. It will invoke invisibility on equipping and lose it once a spell is cast.
I don't know about editing EFF files. It has to be possible.

thanks man, i already figured it out how to make an item cast spells
abotu the newer version of IEEP, it can be fixed. a new release is coming out.
for now, the way around that problem is: when you try to add a new Equiping Effect to an item, you MUST have an extension header. so just add one, and then modify Equiping Effect. and once you are done, delete the extension header.
